The Tit-for-Tat, Tat-for-Tit Strip
This was just a natural follow-up, I think… for the ladies, and ten percent of the gentlemen.
Thank you kindly for those who tolerated my near death experience this past weekend, and also to the boo-birds who presumed this was going to result in the end of the strip. I was actually feeling better by Sunday, but at that point figured it was mostly pointless to try and fix Friday by then, seeing how it was two days in the past. Still, I am not a fan of that empty spot in the rotation, so something may find it’s way there, be it some silly filler strip (I did like doing the Sydney Adventure strips), or a pin-up.
I don’t have much else to add today other than, damn. George Carlin died… the amount of great entertainment icons who have died since I restarted the strip is a little scary. Carlin was a master, and the world is a less funny place without him.

yeah, RIP george. truly, one of the funniest. i got to see him live a year ago; i’m glad i got the chance to go see him. he will be sorely missed.

Glad to see you are feeling well. As for the O’Neal- TJ trade which you seem against, is it because you are a Pacer fan and think you are getting very little return?

Dunit: I am a Raptors fan, and taking on O’Neal’s wonky knee, increasingly lame offense and 20 million + dollar salary terrifies me. I know TJ is damaged goods, as is Jermaine, but if we’re throwing in a first rounder and Rasho, I think we can do better. The Diaw one makes even less sense because we don’t need another PF.
I think Brian Colangelo can do better, but O’Neal could pay off. I’ll give it that much.

No, the other underachieving, overpaid, often-injured O’Neal.
I could talk myself into Jermaine if that 1st rounder became a second rounder, and/or if Indy was eating some of the salary. Could be worth the gamble then.
Colangelo is good, don’t get me wrong there. He was Exec of the Year in 2007 for a reason, and his trades tend to work out. Ford *has* to go yes because the Raps are better with Calderon starting. That being said, I think we can do better if we’re tying a first rounder to TJ. Maybe I’m wrong.
