The Serious Business Strip
In the future, all disputes will be solved via competitive ballroom dancing. I find this to be a civil solution, and I think the women of the world would be in full support of it. Soldiers can go to war in minor gyms and cabarets around the world and return home safely, perhaps only slightly emasculated, with a grudging respect for the poussette skills of their foreign rivals.
I will admit I had to outsource my geekery here. While I am familiar with the hobby/addiction known as Magic: the Gathering, I haven’t played in probably ten years. Luckily, my good friend Kris is very much into the game still, sadly breaking the rule of the streets of not using what you’re pushing, as he peddles cardboard crack to children throughout our small town, but also indulges himself as well. At any moment, I expect his addiction to get the better of him, and we will find him tearing through Tenth Edition boxes in his storefront in some manic desperation, leading to a deadly finale with his suppliers who are represented by Stringer Bell in my imagination. Of course.
Most of the previous is untrue. I am certain Kris is maintaining control over his urges, and he will not face the wrath of Avon Barksdale. He is a Magic enthusiast though, and was all too eager to deliver heaps of information when I asked him, “I need something people would argue about in a game of Magic.” Not only did he gleefully supply me with many alternative scenarios, there were pictures. I learned quite a lot about the nefarious state the game has delved into since the days where my four Icy Manipulator control deck was potent. These Relentless Rats seemed to be a problem, and one that I figured Wade would endeavour to assay with deadly purpose. So I got the information I needed, and debated the effect of an A-10’s machine gun round on the human body at the same time. (It was featured in a documentary he was watching at the time) I suppose the round would have the same effect that Wade’s Lobotomy was to have on Morgan’s deck.
And so it was.
I have ads now, from the aptly named Project Wonderful. At the moment, the teeny tiny revenue generated will be funneled towards my ads on other sites (Hello, Rob and Elliot readers!), it will eventually help support more important things, like my ability to acquire nourishment, clothing, and essential prostitution. So I thank you for your patronage if you are contributing to said programs. As of now, the ads are very reasonable in cost, and you can find links to using them at the top and right hand sections of the site.
I’m still soaking in the NBA Draft from last night, and really, I don’t think I have much to say. My Toronto Raptors didn’t even have their own pick in the first round (their pick is going to the Pacers because taking Jermaine O’Neal’s horrid knee and ridiculous contract wasn’t a big enough bunch in the balls. Is Rob Babcock back?), so I may have been less interested than normal. I did casually follow the chat on ESPN.com though, and I have to admit I started to like O.J. Mayo, despite his lapses in college. He seemed articulate and enthusiastic, though granted, this could be polish. I do have a sense he and Rudy Gay are going to form a deadly combo in Memphis though. Derrick Rose I became less enthusiastic about… he seemed curt and didn’t put much thought into his answers, but granted, he could merely have been distracted by being center stage on the biggest night of his life. Fair enough.
This long post winds to an end… please vote, etc, etc.
Of course, before I go… the Mouth of Sauron singing Manamanah…

Have a good weekend, sirs and madams!
EDIT: The Cast page has been finally updated with Wade, Morgan, and of course, Skateboard. This is pretty much the last of the main cast for the next while, so we’re good. An Extras page has been added as well.
Also, here is a sneak preview for the wallpaper/desktop image that will be available to people who donate. (The one I keep promising to do) This will officially be put up at some point today, over the weekend, or Monday at the latest. I’m really happy with the finished product, and I hope supporters will be too.

The day I stopped touching Magic was the day girls started touching me.
IN A GOOD WAY! And I liked it! :D

Good to have you back Fenris/Josh, whatever name you go by these days. I truly missed your comics. :~)
