The Envelope (We’re Pushin It) Strip
Yeah, I was watching some Chappelle’s Show when I wrote this… seeing how a lot of Tito is based on Charlie Murphy’s character in CB4, it it only fair that Tito would swipe a Charlie Murphy line. The original punch was, “…and beat off like its going out of style”, but I think this worked better. The grizzly bear line from Pepper was a last minute addition too, and it fits. Chappelle admits to swiping a lot of material himself, to turnabout it fair play, Dave.
I don’t have too much to add today, other than sorry for that third panel. It turned out just awful, but this happens.
I was pleased with how the “Evolution of Sydney” picture got some comments, so here is the same thing, with Aikida…
Not to be bland, but I am partial to the 2008 Aikida, though I’d go with 2004 if pressed for a second favourite, not just for looks, but for the context of the character at that time and in that strip in particular.
So which was your favourite Aikida? And yes, I know I left the demon version of Aikida out. As visually appealing as she was, it was really a different character, so I removed it from contention.

I used to be a fan of the old work, glad to see the comic back to running. AS well, I read through the peperwood archives, whyd u ever stop that? it was some really great writing, I would be severly content if it ever got continued.

I really enjoy your art-style, but the humor even bets that, esp. Pan.4 was great, I know exactly what they mean. Had a very similar discussion with a buddy of mine.

Favorite Aikida? 2006 one. For sure. But the really cool thing about Aikida is her personality, her wits and in-your-face attitude.

Random, I stopped doing Pepperwood because while people often claim they loved it now, it was doing crap for traffic. I did enjoy it though, and want to incorporate some of that style into the present Aikida run.
As for the favicon, I guess it is something to look at later.

OK I loved this strip, hilarious because I could actually see it going down in real life and the dialog was so fitting.
I’m kinda liking the 2005 Akida.

howdy…longtime fan, personally I’m leaning towards 02 or 04 aikida. also I had no idea until a little bit ago that the age of consent in canada was 16…interesting. I also like the new sydney, an interesting look

josh, you still might want to change “do to with” to “to do with”…. I obviously can’t be 100% sure, but I don’t think you meant to type it that way. it’s like saying “I want do to judo.” it seems like it must be a typo. That’s all Gillsing was saying.

Edited the dialogue in panel four to make it quite clear, that yes, its a Chappelle quote. Thanks to 127,937 internet retards for trying to imply that I was ripping him off. Now it should be quite clear that I was.
