Heh, I'll admit my knowledge of such things is non-existent, but I do think the joke comes across.

This isn't a "I'm not a very good artist" excuse/moment, there really are some mistakes I saw I made in this strip, just because I fell out of that drawing pace. Most days I am satisfied, today I feel it could have been cleaner. The main thing is, it got done. I am happy with how Pepper turned out in #3 though.

yeah josh, geez man, i know artist are always belittling their own work, but you can stop that now, ok? your art is fine. good, in fact. you even challenge yourself with complex settings and multiple storylines, for christ sake. incidentally, your fantasy arc was really interesting, and i was disappointed to hit the end of your pepperwood story. the characters were all really engaging. you have a very good sense of story. in my opinion (whatever my opinion is worth to you). So cut yourself a little more slack, ok? in fact, maybe when an artist is disatisfied by their early work, it's an indication of their growth as an artist. you've got lots of cool stuff going on. keep at it!!

I agree with Dave, your art has definitely improved over time, and even back in the day I bought some of your donation incentives. I'd be doing the same now, if I had any money :(

So it can't be all bad if people keep coming back and giving you money for it, eh?

Josh, you've been giving yourself a hard time for thinking you're art isn't good enough.

And I don't think its valid.

Remember back in the day when you did a fan art for theater hopper?

I remember him saying that you "draw the sexiest women".

If I compare you're art with the other comics that I've been following for a bit, it's pretty plain to see that yours is the most detailed and most original.

Sure, Gabe is a master of his craft, but he's doing it fulltime and definitely has a different style than yours.

If I compare you're work now with the comics from your archive, you can definitely see a smooth steady improvement curve.

Don't give yourself such a hard time, you don't deserve it.
