The Dinner of Crow Pt. 2 Strip

Try as I might, I’ve never actually found a way to kill the orphans they hand out to players, and trust me, I’ve done all I could.

The image above is pretty old school, going back to the days of the old Aikida guild on Dragonblight.  Those were the good old days of WoW, and while most of us never actually hit 60 (it was 60 back then), I have nothing but good memories.  It seems these days, WoW is nothing but smartasses in the trade channel, or whining in BGs, or some crap drama starting in guilds.  Still, it isn’t all bad.  Today I had a moment that made me laugh a bit.

I was in an Alterac Valley match, and we’re losing again as Horde in my battlegroup tends to do.  Anyway, we’re fighting up at Tower Point, and getting pushed back slowly.  If you know AV, you know there’s that little valley south of Tower Point, and thats where the fighting was.  I stay on the fringe and heal, cleanse, bubble people, etc etc until I need to run out of combat and drink.  I run (south) up the hill, behind a tree and sit and drink.

During this time, though, the entire Horde force is wiped out.  In mere seconds.  Just as I’m thinking about standing up, I see on my right about fifteen to twenty red names come over the hill.  I hope for a brief second they don’t notice me, but no, here they come.  Now it becomes a foot race.  I bubble and begin to haul ass for Frostwolf Graveyard, with a score of paladin hating alliance in tow. (Lets face it, bubbling is as close to a PvP taunt as you can get. Same with ice block.)  I regret not getting a screenshot, because the stream of “IMMUNE” messages above my head was comical.  I did make it into a swarm of friendly green names about one second after my shield ended, and all was well for the moment.  But the situation gave me a good laugh, and in the end, isn’t that what these sorts of things are for?

New donation incentives are finally up for September!  I am very happy with how Pepper turned out, again.  I’m not sure what it is with her, but Pep always seems to finish well.  Anyway, no special offers this month, though I am mulling over something for people to pick up the old, old incentives if they want.  They’re not as good, I think, but there has been some demand.  As for the August donations, if you donated enough to have panels sent to you, make sure you’ve told me which panels you wanted as those are going to be sent out on Monday.

Oh!  Patriots fans!  Don’t think I’ve forgotten about your tragedy this weekend.  Just terrible.

MWUAHAHA!  Eat it, Tom Lady!

GO, PACK, GO!

…that was a classy moment.

Vote!  See you tomorrow!

And how about Aaron last night? Opening night, Vikings at home, first professional start…I think he did himself pretty damn proud.

82% completion percentage and a 115 rating is a pretty good “debut”. Vikes secondary isn’t that great, so I’m trying to stay grounded. Still, a solid start though, for sure.

    Bring on the Lions! (snicker)

How… how about me… last night? I’m good… I was good last night. Are you my girlfriend? Because I’m almost certain that her name isn’t Shannon. Was it you instead? Shit, I need to go apologise.
