The Dinner of Crow Finale Strip

How about another week of this?

I’m just kidding.  As different as this was for me, and as much as I enjoyed not being under the gun for one week at least, we have a pretty full slate from here on up until early November.  Storyline shit, that sort of thing.  My apologies to non-World of Warcraft players who didn’t get a lot of the strips this week, but it happens.

The funny thing about this week of WoW for me is that I think I might be abandoning my Horde characters on Zul’Jin (that server is dead.  I don’t mean population, I mean functionally.  It is crap.) and returning to my old Alliance characters on Dragonblight.  Old school Aikida readers might remember that we had a guild on DB, the Pantsless Avengers.  That guild still exists, in name only though, headed by the stalwart, and undergeared, Aikida.  While I am unsure if I want to do the guild thing again, I was fond of Dragonblight and its relatively more mature playerbase.

I decided I wanted to start a pair of new characters, and hoped to have them at seventy by the time the Wrath of the Lich King expansion hit.  I was really stuck on names though.

Generally… as in, 99% of the time, I find the idea of taking a name from other media to be incredibly lame.  I mean people who name their characters any sort of variant of Drizzt or Sephiroth or Legolas or anything like that, but for whatever reason, I tried a name, and I got it.  I tried the other, and I also got it.

It was a sign.

Many of you know that I am a big fan of Masamune Shirow, so to score a pair of names from New Dominion Tank Police was quite a joy for me.  I was going to be dual boxing these characters (playing them both at the same time), so have them be twins just made sense.  Granted, its hard to get a night elf to look like the actual Puma Sisters, but they have the ears and long hair at least.

So I made them into a pair of druids, one feral (Anna), the other balance (Uni).  People often wonder why players bother to dual box, and I’m sure the answers vary from boxer to boxer, but for me, it helps to be self reliant since I play odd hours, and grouping is pretty rare from one to sixty now (especially when guildless), and I also find coordinating them interesting.

Plus it kind of looks cool.

Yeah, I’ve been playing on Youtube.  The video is terrible, but it was mainly just to test Fraps.  At least I have styling music.

So anyway, if you’re on Dragonblight and see the Puma Sisters run by, throw me (us) a buff and wave.

You’ve got up until maybe Sunday to get your vote in for what you want the theme week to be.  Lingerie Week and Bikini Week were the only ones I think we can work with (sorry, no beaver week), so it is a two horse race.  I think we’re all winners, regardless.  Click the little image below to vote.

And that should be it for Friday, and this week.  Don’t forget to vote on TWC, and come back on Monday for the theme week.

…and ohh yeah, can’t forget my final jab at Pats fans for the week.

Apparently the Patriots are changing their logo!

This was part of a decently funny montage of “updated” football logos from ESPN.com’s Page 2.  Good stuff.

I’m out.

Hahaha. I’ve wanted to do that a few times myself when I was still playing. Hey did you see my comic? If you do that’s cool let me know what you think, if not that’s cool too, I still love Aikida, even from back in the day. :D

The site and art looks pretty good, sir. I only had time to take a quick look, but it was pretty decent .

Annapuma and Unipuma were even better in the original Tank Police. Their “dance” to distract the police while making a getaway was… Interesting!
