Yeah Ethienne the running gag is that Syd’s age isn’t really known and as far as the guys know she is pretty much jail bait. For the rest of the strip I like the Pepper/Morgan idea. Yeah he’s gay but I think they would have a good buddy comedy thing going for them. I guess like Seinfeld only, you know, funny.

Okay so, I have been a long time Aikida reader, seriously since like WAY back when you started even 30 zillion reincarnations of the story and here I am still reading. Still love it to, so now that I have slated your ego with compliments and friendlyizing I must say I also play WoW and dude your toon needs better gear. Green belt GREEN!? I seriously can not let you walk around with Aikida in such condition… why couldn’t you have rolled Alliance on my server then I could help you gear out. /cry

In other news, I vote for more Wade. He’s not in the comic enough, and he’s my favorite character. I mean, I guess the title character is going to be in it more, but that never used to matter. And Zelda isn’t even in some of those games. More Wade!

Hahaha. “He’s not THAT gay” should be quote of the week. I’m not any pro at art or anything, but I found that if you use a dot within the circle for the eyes and a darker color in the pupil, then lighten up around it with highlights it makes the eye look a bit more real, but then again I draw giant wolves with glowing tattoos so you might not want to listen to me.

You get used to it. I blame WoW as usual. Some people just can’t stop playing it. I have a friend like that. He disappears for months at a time. Work, WoW, Work, WoW, Work, WoW. Then the random “Oh hey I am still alive!” phone call. But I can’t really talk. I gave him my WoW account only feeding his addiction.

I’ve followed Aikida/Pepperwood for years now and this is the one thing I hate about Fenris. I get hooked back into his new storylines and just about the time when I forget about the last one he didn’t finish, he does it again. Don’t get me wrong, though. I really like his art, I really like his stories, but more than three times with this same scenario is getting old. If he is sick, then I completely understand because I’ve been there, but if it’s WoW then he really needs to get his priorities straight and realize that it’s a game, not a life. I REALLY WANT to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I’m about done.

@ Fenris: what you should do is just stop drawing comics altogether. You write them, have some other guy draw them. Hell you could convey your ideas to the artist over your guild’s vent server, that way you’ll never have to stop playing WoW again!

Hmm atleast 2 attempts at aikida, a pepperwood, a stint doing sports articles and another start of aikida….all ended before finishing a storyline. All sucked me in too, good stories and I like the art. Artists are just so self-critical.

Patience is a virtue folks. I don’t know what’s the problem anyway? This ain’t QC or LICD. It’s Aikida. Takes a while for a new strip. Don’t sweat it. Just hang on.

Even Fenris said that the comic would be updating 3 times a week. That’s my problem. If it’s not going to consistently be that then don’t advertise it that way. Look at Theater Hopper. Mr. Brazelton updates 3 times a week, with a full time job and a very young son to take care of. He rarely misses an update and when he does, he feels awful about it. When he goes on hiatus he lets his readers know way ahead of time and usually has guest strips lined up to take the normal comic’s place.
It can be done.
Yes patience is a virtue, but it is wearing thin.
