The Philo Gio Strip
I will apologise in advance for today’s and Wednesday’s strip. They are wordy, but have to be so we can have this story done by next week.
Aikida turned out kind of meh in all but the last panels (mainly just a bad day drawing her), but I was very happy with the former-nobody-turned-possible-recurring-character-based-solely-on-how-she-turned-out, Giovanna the Tattoo Shop Chick. That is why I made sure to give her an interesting name. I haven’t quite decided for sure if I will bring her back, but in the very least, I am happy with how she turned out!
I just watched the most recent episodes of Battlestar Galactica. I still like the show, and I will watch it until the end, but the sense I had after season two that they were just writing episodes with no real planning or thought for the future (or past) has been elevated this year. Essentially, it feels like they’re just doing weird shit every new episode with no real idea where they’re going with it. I know how it works, I wrote that way myself for eight years.

Goddamn I hate Battlestar Gallactica since the 4.5 premiere >.>. Who they made the last cylon was kind of… dissappointing. Sure, she could be a 6 that’s aged instead and not the final, but she will probably turn out not to be >.>. Goddamn their writers.

Giovanna looks to be a very interesting character, but we’ll have to see how she plays out in the next pages. I definitely like what u did with her hair and the hair pieces, shes damn hawt!

You know what? Fuck it, forget what I said about the anime shit. If you can keep up this update schedule and actually finish one of your fantastic Aikida stories for once, you can draw the comic like Hello Kitty for all I care. I really wanna see one of your stories go the whole nine yards this time.

Giovanna claims to be a tattoo girl… but I don’t see her wearing any tattoo here. I mean, it’s not like she was naked and a lot of her body is hidden, but I would assume a “tattoo girl” would have at least one arm tattoo, right?

Im really liking this new incarnation of aikida. the art is great, and plot is interesting. i like the whole gang just getting to know each other thing. still miss the demon plot but i’ll get over it. btw what would aikida look like “hello kitty” style…
